The North Dakota Grazing Lands Coalition (NDGLC) is seeking a Field Representative/Rangeland Management Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for technical grazing questions, be a liaison for and speak on behalf of NDGLC at workshops and tours, build partnerships, and help interested parties develop comprehensive grazing plans and problem-solve on their ranches. The mission of NDGLC is to promote the health and regeneration of North Dakota’s grasslands.
This three-year grant-funded position requires a passion for North Dakota’s grazing lands and soil health, strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Hours, compensation and benefits are dependent on the applicant’s availability, ambition and experience.
Qualified applicants should possess knowledge and experience regarding a wide range of rangeland management principles, concepts, and theories or a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Preference will be given to those with a ranching or rangeland management background, as well as holistic management, ranching for profit or similar training. Applicants with limited experience will be required to participate in a training program. Applicants must have the ability to work with minimal supervision. Travel is required.
