After graduating from college, he returned to the ranch and also began teaching the Intro. to Range Management class at Bismarck State College. Paul decided to add livestock diversity to the operation which now includes poultry, sheep, and cattle.
Brown's Ranch has added mob grazing as a tool to regenerate landscapes. They discovered mob grazing various cover crops has been beneficial to enhance soil health. The diversity of plants, birds, insects and wildlife has increased dramatically since managing holistically.
Brown's Ranch is also working with the North Dakota Game and Fish Department to regenerate a Wildlife Management Area through high stock density grazing to improve wildlife habitat.
